The Lady Bankes Junior School Parent Council held its first meeting on 8th February 2017.
Update The next Parent Council meeting will be 22 March 2017. Please forward any items for consideration to Mrs Needs via the school office.
The main focus of the Group is to facilitate better communication and stronger links between parents and the school so that both can work in partnership. This is achieved by providing the opportunity for parents and carers to contribute to school life and the well-being of all our children, as well as increasing their understanding of school matters.
The Parent Council has representatives for nearly every class in the school (and each year group has at least two representatives) who can feed back to the wider parent/carer community on any matters discussed.
There are also representatives of both the Governing Body and FOLBA on the Parent Council to ensure links and close working relationships with both those groups.
A key summary of the issues discussed will also be included in the school’s newsletter and copies of the minutes from meetings will be available from the school office for anyone interested.
Meetings will be held half termly. If you have any issues that you feel should be raised at our next meeting, please contact Mrs Needs via the school office.
